In short: We do not sell or share your personal data for advertising in exchange for money. You can use DatingOracles.com without telling us who you are. We set strictly necessary cookies without consent; statistics and marketing cookies and embedded content are only used if you agree. The site is funded by commissions from affiliate links.

Webels ApS is also the controller of personal data processed on this website within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because we are established in the EU, the GDPR applies to all visitors, wherever they are located. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to do so. If you have any questions about data protection, please email us at the address above.

The content on DatingOracles.com is for information purposes only. We compare third-party services with great care but cannot guarantee that information such as prices or offers is always up to date; the terms published by each provider apply. We are not responsible for the content of external websites we link to.

2. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Simply.com A/S (Denmark) on servers in the European Union. On every visit, the server automatically processes data your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page visited, the referring page, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure, for example against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider deletes the log files automatically after a short time. We have a data processing agreement with Simply.com (Art. 28 GDPR).

To protect against automated attacks, the hosting provider sets the strictly necessary cookie “sc_clearance” (24 hours) on some visits, which confirms that the visit is not from a bot.

3. Cookies and consent

This website uses cookies and similar technologies (for example Local Storage). A cookie is a small text file that your browser stores on your device. We only store or read information on your device where this is strictly necessary to provide the website or where you have given your consent (Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the national laws implementing it, and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Consent. On your first visit we ask you in a cookie banner which categories you accept: Necessary (always active), Statistics and Marketing. You can accept all, allow only necessary cookies or choose individual categories; rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page or here: Cookie settings. Withdrawal applies to the future; at the same time we delete cookies from the deselected categories as far as technically possible.

We run the cookie banner ourselves on our own server; no data is sent to third parties. Your choice is stored in the cookie “gdc_consent” (12 months). To be able to demonstrate your consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR), we record for each choice: a random consent ID, the selected categories, the settings version, date and time, the page visited, your shortened IP address (the last byte is removed) and your browser identification (user agent). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR. The records are deleted after three years. You can see your consent ID under Cookie settings.

Technical check. If you have accepted “Statistics”, a small share of page views sends the names of the cookies and Local Storage entries present in your browser, and the domains of loaded third-party content, to our server – never their contents. This lets us check that our cookie list is complete. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You can also block cookies in your browser settings and delete existing cookies at any time. In that case, the website may not work fully.

4. Affiliate links and click statistics

This website is funded by affiliate links. If you click such a link (e.g. “Visit site”), you are forwarded via an address on our domain (e.g. /go-to-provider) to the provider or its affiliate network (e.g. CJ, Awin or the provider’s own affiliate programme). If you sign up with the provider, we receive a commission; this costs you nothing extra. So that the referral can be recorded, we pass a click reference to the affiliate network; the network may set cookies on its own domain, for which it is responsible.

We count clicks on our redirects for statistics (plugin “Pretty Links”). We store the time, the link clicked, the previous page (referrer), your browser identification and your IP address. Click data is kept as long as needed to calculate and check commissions. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the commercial operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Only if you have accepted “Statistics” does the plugin also set the cookies “prli_visitor”, “prli_click_*” and “prli_dedup_*” to recognise repeat clicks.

5. Creator profiles and banners

Some pages show profiles of content creators that we obtain from the OnlyFinder service (operated via pur.agency). These profiles are fetched by our server and displayed as part of our page, so your browser does not contact OnlyFinder when the page loads. Only if you have accepted “Statistics” do we set the session cookie “of_connect_sid”, which lets OnlyFinder count which profiles are viewed and clicked on our website. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the national laws implementing it).

Some articles contain a banner with creator profiles from of-results.com. This banner is only loaded if you accept “Marketing”; until then no data is sent to of-results.com. When loaded, the provider receives your IP address, browser information and the page visited and may set cookies on its own domain. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the national laws implementing it).

6. Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), to manage the loading of Google Analytics. Tag Manager itself does not set cookies, but your IP address is sent to Google when it loads. Tag Manager is loaded on every page so that your choice in the cookie banner can be passed on to the connected services (Google Consent Mode, see the next section). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in loading these services efficiently while respecting your consent (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Google Analytics 4 and Google Consent Mode

If you accept “Statistics”, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service from Google, to understand how the website is used. The cookies “_ga”, “_ga_*”, “_gid” and “_gat*” are set and information about your use (e.g. pages visited, time on page, approximate location, device and browser information) is sent to Google. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the national laws implementing it). Only if you also accept “Marketing” can the Google tag set advertising cookies such as “_gcl_*”, which Google uses to measure whether a visit came from a Google ad.

We use Google Consent Mode. As long as you have not consented, Google Analytics sets no cookies and reads no information from your device. Google does, however, receive cookieless signals (e.g. time, page visited, browser information and your consent status), which Google uses for statistical modelling and which are not linked to a user profile. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in data-minimised traffic measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google also processes data in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time under Cookie settings. More information: Google Privacy Policy.

8. YouTube videos

On some pages we show videos from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited. Until you start a video we only show a preview image stored on our own server; no data is sent to YouTube. Only when you click “Play video” is the video loaded in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode from youtube-nocookie.com. Your IP address, browser and device information and the page visited are then sent to YouTube, and YouTube may store cookies and other information on your device (see the list above). The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking the video (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the national laws implementing it). Regarding transfers to the United States, the same applies as for Google Analytics.

9. Vimeo videos

On some pages we show videos from Vimeo (Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001, USA). Until you start a video we only show a preview image stored on our own server; no data is sent to Vimeo. Only when you click “Play video” is the Vimeo player loaded – with the “dnt” (Do Not Track) parameter, with which Vimeo states it does not track your session. Your IP address, browser and device information and the page visited are then sent to Vimeo, and Vimeo or its provider Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies (see the list above). The legal basis is the consent you give by clicking the video (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the national laws implementing it). Vimeo processes data in the United States and is certified under the Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: Vimeo Privacy Policy.

10. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google or other font providers is made when you visit our pages.

11. Contact by email

If you email us, we process your email address, your name (if provided) and the content of your message in order to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, if your enquiry concerns a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless we are required to keep it.

12. Retention

Where no specific retention period is stated in this policy, we only process personal data for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by law. The retention period of each cookie is shown in the list above.

13. Your rights

Regarding the personal data we process about you, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR), e.g. under Cookie settings

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop the processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds.

To exercise your rights, simply email info@datingoracles.com.

Complaints: You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence or place of work (Art. 77 GDPR); in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). The supervisory authority competent for us is the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, www.datatilsynet.dk.

14. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

15. Changes

We update this policy when the website or the law changes. The version published here is always the current one.
